Cove Psychology offers a caring and professional approach to assist you in managing your mental health challenges. With over seven years experience, Cove Psychology understands that individuals are unique and a one size fits all approach is not sufficient. Instead we value your uniqueness and seek to tailor interventions specific to your individual needs and goals so you can flourish.
“When we are no longer able to change a situation . . . we are challenged to change ourselves.”
Viktor Frankl
I'm Grace Young, a Clinical Psychologist experienced in providing psychological assessment and evidenced based intervention to treat a variety of psychological disorders. I have worked in an extensive range of areas including private practice, forensic psychology, hospital settings, and inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation.
I have a high level of competency in diagnostic assessment and case formulation. As well as extensive experience in working with depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, trauma and stressor related disorders, and self harming behaviour.
I have a special interest in supporting individuals with emotion regulation difficulties and seek to embody compassion and warmth to create a space for you to feel supported, valued and motivated. I place significant importance on creating a strong therapeutic relationship and tailoring intervention to your unique needs.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time outdoors with my young kids, cuddling with my three dogs, or relaxing with a cuppa and a good thriller novel.
